#BlogchatterA2Z, “Q”- Quick and Easy Festival Crafts for kids!

#BlogchatterA2Z journey is becoming really exciting and now we had reached at “Q”.
As “Q”, I am sharing some quick and easy festival crafts for kids. hoping they will love it.
India is a land of festival and we have various vibrant festival celebrated throughout the year. festivals bring joy and happiness in our lives and break the monotony of fixed routine.
Another side, the festival celebration offers an excellent opportunity to spend some quality time with friends and family. personally, I never miss a chance to spend quality time with my kids during the festival celebration. during this time,
I teach them the importance of festival celebrations and share the knowledge about Indian culture and traditions ( because during routine days we never get enough time to discuss or share this topic)
We create festival theme crafts, and my girls just loved to make something on their own to add their personal touch to celebration.
We made festival food together and had loads of fun.
So in today’s post, I am sharing some easy and quick festival crafts for kids. I am sure these activities will help to add more joy and happiness to our celebration.
Festival Crafts for kids
DIY Rakhi Making
Rakhi is one of the most important indian festival that celebrate love of sibling relationship. we had made some DIY Rakhis during this celebration and my girls had loads of fun with it.
Supplies
- Laces
- Stone
- Glue
- Decorative material
- Embriodery thread
Method
You do not need any exclusive list of craft supplies for this activity. just gather available at home supplies and use them to create beautiful Rakhis. we had used sequin laces and embriodory threads as base and then use some stone and other decorative material to make it more attractive.
Watch the Video to learn the easy step by step tutorial.
DIy Diya Making
Supplies
- Clay diyas
- Acrylic paint
- Other decorative material
Method
This is another simple but interesting activity that I tend to do with my girls before each Diwali celebration.
- First, wash the Diyas properly and let them dry for a few hours.
- then start colouring with acrylic paint. always do a double coat.
- then decorate the diyas with choice of your decorative material
- elegant diyas are ready to celebrate the festival of light. watch the video for the full tutorial.

Diyas and rakhis are a favorite in my home too. But pumpkins is a distant thing for us in India. But I know another 2-3 years and my kids will start requesting for halloween to be celebrated in our home too.
