Q.1 This is your consecutive second year of participation in #Blogchaatterebook Carnival. Tell us something more about your experience with the Carnival? How has the Carnival helped you in achieving your “Author dream”?

A.1  It is always exciting to be part of this campaign. You get to write on diverse topics. It fills me with enthusiasm to research and write about the topics close to my heart. And, of course, pour all my experience into the book for the parents. Further, you get to meet so many authors from different genres and get the opportunity to learn from them.

Q.2 Tell us something more about this year’s eBook “Parenting Tweens”. What was the real reason and inspiration behind picking this theme for writing your second eBook?)

A. 2 The real reason was my experience with my daughter which I wanted to share. As she entered in to her tweens all my parenting experiences were questioned. This transition age was turbulent for me and my daughter as well because the tweens are completely different from younger kids. They start getting independent in their decisions and choices. At least, they want to. They are sometimes rebellious and do not want decision to be forced on them. And yet, this their foundational stage for bigger things in life so you do not want them to stray.

Q. 3 Can you share with us something about the book that is not in the blurb? Any snippets or any message that you want to convey with this eBook?

A.3 I would say that there is no thumb rule in parenting. You evolve with time. This generation is very different and more progressive than earlier and you have to update yourself with each passing day. This is what I call the social media generation. The exposure is unprecedented. The parents need to walk a tight rope.

Q. 4 Who are the ideal readers of your eBook? (What can readers expect from this year’s eBook “parenting tween”?)

A. 4 Ideal readers would be parents of children in 9 to 12 years old, the pre-teens. As this is the foundational years of teens so they can relate to this.

Q. 5 What is your most Favorite and what is your least favorite part of publishing a book?

A.5 Most favorite part was of publishing a book is remembering the whole journey of my child and researching and learning about fresh ideas. Least favorite would be regretting the mistakes I made.

Q.6 What is the most surprising thing you have learnt or discovered while writing your books?

A.6 The surprising thing was when I wrote the chapter how to handle your child crush. I never wanted to write but I thought why not. Today’s generation is so much influenced by the peers that we must write and discuss about these topics openly. We can’t just ignore and move forward. After all it relates to the emotions of your child. I hope everyone relates to it.

I had a great time while knowing more about Jyoti’s journey to write this book. Hope you liked it too.

Q.1  This is your consecutive second year of participation in #Blogchatterebook carnival. Tell us something more about your experience with the carnival? How has the carnival helped you in achieving your “Author dream”?

A. 1 Being the second time, I found it much easier to get my book prepped up. The fact that I couldn’t participate this year in A2Z didn’t hinder me from publishing this time. I knew I wanted to make this happen and yes affirmations and manifestations do work. The carnival has been of great support to help me get my idea of this book going live to getting reviews and even promotions.

Q. 2 Tell us something more about this year’s eBook “Hola Summer”. What was the real reason and inspiration behind picking this theme for writing your second eBook?

A. 2 SUMMER brings memories of vacation and a lot of fun times but also with it comes a lot of skincare problems. Being someone who has experiences handling the harsh summers here in a tropical country like India, I decided I should let the world know that it shouldn’t stop us from enjoying summers.

Q.3 Can you share with us something about the book that is not in the blurb? Any snippets or any message that you want to convey with this eBook?

The book is a guide that helps you tackle summer skincare problems. Not only that I decided to include some DIYs on face packs, detox drinks and not to forget ways to reduce body heat as well. The message that I wanted to convey is that as much as we want to enjoy the summer, we should Also enjoy the summer season at the same time take care of our skin as well.

Q.4 Who are the ideal readers of your eBook? (What can readers expect from this year’s eBook “Hola Summer”)

A. 4 Anyone who wants to enjoy summers to the fullest can read the book. Right from a skincare enthusiast to an ordinary girl next door nobody can say that they have no skincare problems and it’s flawless. I assure that they can enjoy summer without having to worry about the skin.

Q. 5 What is your most Favorite and what is your least favorite part of publishing a book?

Getting feedback from people who have read the book is my most favorite part. You get to know that the message has been conveyed to get right people. The least favorite part is the fear or should I say the feeling you get when you don’t want anything to go wrong until it reaches the audience.

Q. 6 What is the most surprising thing you have learnt or discovered while writing your books?

The DIYs I’ve given are what I’ve tried on myself. I’m amazed at the natural properties of ingredients and the fact that I’m making it available so that people can get to know the benefits that I enjoyed is what surprises me.

Also, with authenticity in mind, I make sure to try out what I write for the book.

I loved to know more about Sindhu’s journey to write “Hola summer” eBook.

Hope you liked it too.

This is all for now. Stay healthy, stay safe!
