“I live to love you”- A Romantic thriller by Roma Gupta Sinha

Hi everyone,

Excited to share another book review post for #BlogchatterEbook review series.

In this post, I am reviewing my dear friend Roma Gupta Sinha’s book “I live to love you”. Read the post to know more about it.

Before sharing more about the book and my reader experience regarding this, I want to share an honest confession with you all.

This confession is about my pre-conceived notion about “Fiction writing”.

As a blogger/author, I feel fiction writing is not an easy form of writing. It involves and requires many sets of expertise ranging from building an interesting story plot to create relatable characters and maintain a sense of curiosity for readers up to the end, each element possesses its own importance and requires much precision and perfection for proper execution of initial story thought.

I believe hooking up your readers with your story, narration and overall setup, is an art and not every writer blessed with that kind of skill and expertise. As a blogger/author, I have a huge amount of respect for all fictional writers who create a magic with their fictional writing and give a mesmerizing experience to their readers by creating something that did not exist or have a connection with real-world.

As a reader/ audience, I feel we read (and even watch) fiction to escape the real world for a little while. Fiction is not at all about learning the facts or gather any information, it is about getting an experience that escape the limit of our own perspective and consciousness. As a reader, I expect many great elements in any fiction write-up such as good story line, strong and relatable characterization, overall set up, story flow and much more, to make me feel connected with the write-up. Definitely, the story and write-up should have something unique to make me curious as a reader to read the story up to end.

In short, as an author and as a reader, I believe fiction writing is really hard, and writing in fiction genre and win the heart of your readers is not as easy as seems. Personally, I believe it takes lots of effort and expertise to excel and reach at height in this creative form of writing.

But during this year’s #BlogchatterEbook carnival, my dear friend Roma Gupta Sinha has crossed all these barriers successfully and give a new dimension to fiction writing with her 6th book, romantic thriller “I live to love you”.

Recently, I had read this book and loved it from core of my heart.

Why this eBook is special and what was my reader experience with it? Read on to know more.

My take on book

Here are some unique features of this eBook that makes it an interesting read.

Perfect blend of romantic and thriller genera

The book is a romantic thriller that shares its story line on cover page with a prominent tag line as “will a pure soul ever succeed in finding her love who vanished 7 years ago”. the story revolves around three best friends, Shamit, Aaradhya and Riya. The beginning of story tells us Aaradhya’s unending quest for her beloved who vanished seven years ago mysteriously. This mysterious beginning creates a sense of curiosity for readers and build a strong foundation for setting a perfect tone for upcoming thriller element.

Another side, the romantic relationship between lead characters (Aaradhya and Shamit) has its own magic and charm. Their eternal loving bond and chemistry add an amazing romantic touch to whole story, since beginning to end.

Author has maintained a great consistency in involving both (romance and thriller) elements in book and done a good job of blending these two genera perfectly.

Beautiful portray of different relationships and emotions

Portray of distinct emotions and relationship creates a solid base of any powerful fiction story. These two are most important elements that can make or break a flow of a story and decide the fate of story as a success or failure.

Being an over emotional person, I feel these two elements play most important role in creating a power packed impact on reader’s mind.

This eBook has that essence and portray different relationship and emotions wonderfully, in each chapter, and in a timely manner.

Whether the loving bond of friendship between Riya, shamit and Aaradhya or romantic relationship of Shamit and Aardhya or Aadarsh’s feeling of insecurity because of Riya’s over-obsession for her friends, each emotion has been defined with a grace and create an incredible impact on reader’s mind, while reading.

Along with relationship, the story has an inclusion of dynamic and intense emotions. the story portrays Love, friendship, hate, carrier ambition, care, over-obsession, and many other beautiful emotions magically in each chapter.

All and all you feel wide spectrum of emotions and beauty of different relations while reading this book.

Beautiful characterization

Characters are one of the essential elements of any fiction story. The characters need to feel real and relatable. Author should introduce the characters in the story in a way that the readers can visualize them by reading narration.

Roma has done a wonderful job in creating and developing all characters of this beautiful story.  she has used the power of magical words and developed each character with so much passion by keeping a visionary approach. Each character has been defined with needed precision and you get a perfect visualization of each of lead characters just by reading the narration.

Impressive story set up

Apart from story line and characters, the story set up is another important aspect of a good fiction write-up. Writer should have that power with his/her words that help in creating a visual image of story set up for readers that includes description of location, surrounding atmosphere, season or weather etc.

This story has a beautiful and impressive set-up. From narration of beautiful location of Nanital and Pune to mesmerizing weeding sequence, everything seems so beautiful and make you fall in love with this story.

Magical narration and engaging conversation

I am sure you all would be agree that writing an engaging narration is a challenging task and it is not easy to captivate the audience and keep them engaged as the story is told.

In this book, there are plenty of magical narrations and engaging conversations. Conversations between lead characters create an incredible impact. Like in chapter 3 “destined to meet: Aaradhya meet Shamit for the first time “, the first meet of lead characters Shamit and Aaradya during Holi celebration have been narrated with so much passion and perfection.

From accidental dropping of Holi colors on Aardhya to developing a sense of fondness and admiration between Aaradhya and shamit, whole sequence has magical narration and beautiful conversation. This narration creates powerful visualization and for a moment, you get a feeling that you are watching a Yash Chopra style cinematic romance.

Along with narration, the language of this book is equally impressive and phenomenal, and express author’s passion and expertise for fiction writing.

Despite being fiction, story convey an important life lesson

Though it is a fiction but it talks about an important mental health issues and teach us an important life lesson too. Story’s one of lead character Riya (also the narrator of story), loves her friends Aaradhya and Shamit so much. This love and affection look adorable in first part of story but in later part, her love and affection for her friends take an obsessive turn and causes many undesirable events in story (as this is a review post, so I am not revealing all happening of story here)

Over obsession is a common relationship issue but it rarely gets discussed and many people even did not know that it might affect their relationship and lives negatively. The story talks about this issue so wonderfully and as a best part, it also gives a way and option to how to resolve it?

Indeed, author has offered a great advice and creative solution to deal with “Over obsession” with this story and I felt this factor is as an additional amazing feature of this eBook.

What can be improved?

Though story is fast paced and have many twists and turns but at same place, few narrations seem little lengthy and interrupt the flow of story. Other than that, it is a delightful read from start to end.

Conclusion

As a conclusion, I would say, “I live to love you” is an amazing romantic-thriller that express wide spectrum of emotions and diversity of different relationships so well. If you love to read “romantic-thriller” genera books and looking for some good options to explore, then must go for it. I am sure you will not get disappointed”.

My heartiest congrats to Roma for her 6th book publication and I wish her lots of good luck for great success of this book.

Well said Surbhi, Fiction writing requires a different mindset or rather i should say a power to create a plot in front of readers eyes in which certainly not everyone is pro. But I find Roma excellent in the field. I truly admire her skill of fiction writing. I so loved the romantic thriller by her.
