Hi everyone,

Excited to share another post for series #Queensofbloggiwood.

In this post, I am super excited to share interview of one of my most favorite (and top) parenting blogger, Vaishali Sharma.

Vaishali is the founder and owner of India’s top parenting, motherhood and childcare platform, “Thechampatree.in”.

Vaishali is a mother (and on-the-job-learner), a communication consultant, and a super-juggler.

She is also an avid reader, lover of acid jazz, die-hard fan of Nicolas Jaar, a sucker for authentic Italian food, and a doting mom.

She has started The Champa Tree (aka TCT) blog in the month of May 2014. Around the same time as her son’s birth.

The Champa Tree is all about motherhood, parenting, baby, and child care. And here you will find wide range of informative, research based and authentic articles on parenting, motherhood, real moms, Vocal for local, recipes, baby&child care, arts and crafts ideas, products reviews and more.

As Vaishali says in her own words, “At Champatree you can tickle your funny bone with some parenting humor or read moving pieces that most of us can relate to. But above all else, The Champa Tree is a safe place where all mothers and fathers can find answers to specific questions they think are too “silly” to ask out loud. In case you don’t find the answer to a question that has been bothering you, feel free to reach out to us—there are no “right” or “wrong” questions”.

The Champa tree is Featured in India’s leading online and print media outlets such as Hindustan Times, India Today Woman, Grihalakshmi, The New Sunday Express- Magazine, Parent Circle, and also awarded as leading mom and parenting blogger by BonusApp, Baggout.com, Influencer.com, The BabySpot.ca, and the list goes on.

Personally, I am following “Thechampatree.in” since last 3-4 years and really admire Vaishali’s passion for always sharing something unique and authentic information with her readers. Her work always inspires me to do hard work with constant motivation and firm determination.

I am so thrilled to have her on my blog and want to say a big thanks to her for taking out time and sharing her journey with me and my readers.

Q.1 What was the biggest struggle that you have faced in your blogging/entrepreneur journey? And how had you overcome this? This question is the main purpose of the series. So, I humbly request you to please answer this one with some detailing.

A.1 Back in the day, blogging was seen as a hobby, like a side-business. Most people I know would feel shy, embarrassed, or inadequate each time they’d to say, “I’m a blogger,” however, things have become pretty interesting now. I’m being asked, “What does it take to be a blogger-entrepreneurial?” It feels good to hear this coming as often as possible.

I started my journey with The Champa Tree in 2015. It saw troughs and spikes. On a few months of the year – traffic rose while on other months it wouldn’t move. However, I was persistent. Pretty much like you define 5 Ps and  Cs , I knew this by heart and followed it year-on-year. Blogging is a lot of hard work. To look for the right content topic, and ensure it is optimized properly, to support the text with apt visuals and often videos, to market the same piece across platforms. That’s a lot of sweat, not to forget writing at least 500 words per topic.

It has been 6 years of relentless work. From handling everything on my own to growing steadily and having a team of passionate writers/content marketeers, it feels like we’re home. We have been successfully curating as well as creating and marketing content. The Champa Tree is growing. I’m so glad that I never gave up. Even during those days when I thought I can’t juggle; I still did and never gave up. ‘We’ never gave up.

Q. 2 Who is the most influential person in your life? And why?

A.2 A real mom, she is you, she is me, my grandmother, your neighbor. A real mom is inside of each one of. She is our inspiration. We recognize the power and strength of a real mom’s narration. Therefore, what started off as a story of one mom who wanted to share her adoption story – this idea gave birth to a series. We’ve covered more than 100 real moms to date. Each one has a beautiful story to share. Do swing by and give them a gentle read. And if any of you who is reading this story is moved by this effort, send me an email. Tell me your story.

Q. 3 What is my exciting and most tiring part of your blogging/ entrepreneur journey?

A.3 Every day is exciting and full of surprises. Honestly, never felt a day when we’ve been tired or exhausted. Our biggest strength is our collaborators. When a brand appreciates our hard work or a real mom feels touched by our gesture, when a local business blesses us for our VocalforLocal series, our hearts are filled with pride. It gives us immense pleasure to realize our dreams of making a difference in the life of our readers.

Q. 4 What is one strong piece of advice that you want to give you aspiring bloggers/entrepreneurs like me to go ahead in this challenging journey?

  • Be you
  • Don’t chase (brands or money)
  • Content is the king
  • Do NOT compromise on quality
  • Market your blog
  • Encourage your tribe

Everything else will follow- name, fame, money, brands, right skillset, learnings, resources…. etc.

Bloggers should motivate and inspire each other. This is a humble group of like-minded content creators; they should extend support to each other to promote blogging as a category.

What was your thoughts and learning with Vaishali’s amazing journey. Please share with me.

Quick update from my Instagram account (@surbhiprapanna)

Before ending this post, I want to share a quick update with you all from my Instagram account.

I am sure you all would be agree that 2020 (and Covid situation) had made us realized the importance of “Taking good care of our health” that includes our physical, mental, social and emotional health.  with passing year, we all had understood that “having a healthy body and good level of immunity” is something that matters most in being protected with Covid 19 and other serious lifestyle diseases.

But with busy schedule, we all tend to go off track and forget to maintain “healthy lifestyle habits” consistently. Also, there are many important aspects of diet, nutrition and prevention of serious lifestyle diseases that remain ignored with pressure of multiple responsibilities. Most often, we know all the things but would not be able to follow them regularly.

In short, we all need some quick reminder, and some sort of inspiration/motivation and little push to do right things every day without feeling too overwhelmed.

So, to keep all these factors in mind, I am starting a new series on “Instagram” as

 “Healthy body- Healthy living”

Healthy body healthy living
Healthy body healthy living

The series is all about

  • Healthy lifestyle tips
  •  Nutrition facts
  • Prevention of serious lifestyle diseases
  • Home remedies
  • Weight loss help
  • Expert opinion for your improving your wellness
  • Easy fitness hacks to enhance your health and everyday life
  • Healthy recipes
  • Mental, emotional and social wellness tips
  • Homeopathic perspective and homeopathic help for your good health

And much more!

In short, the series is a “Quick reminder for making your health your first priority and keeping you update about important health-wellness-nutrition aspect of life.  I am sure this series will help you in living a healthier lifestyle” with ease and less stress.”

So, stay tuned and follow me on Instagram @surbhiprapanna  for this amazing health series and other informative content about health, wellness, parenting, kids’ art-craft and much more.
